  • "The interior styling of the MKZ is very appealing but the lower quality materials that were used to execute the design are disappointing and below what one would expect of a "luxury" brand. The ambient interior lighting seems to change colors on its own and various sections will not come on unless the color is changed. The second largest disappointment is the THX sound system. I specifically upgraded to get this feature and cannot discern the difference between any other factory car audio system. The speaker in the front passenger door already seems to rattle or is blown. The sunglass holder couldn't have been designed any worse. The liner doesn't have anything to hold the glasses in place so you can hear them rattle. A few foam fingers would have solved the problem. The trunk is HUGE but it should have come with a cargo net to hold things from sliding around. I like the power trunklid but when closing, it should delay the closing for a few seconds after touching the button so your arm doesn't get attacked. A 2012 Explorer has a delay, why not in the Lincoln? Not having power folding mirrors is also a disappointment, especially when older Ford models have them. To me, no Ford model, especially any older one, should have more features than a fully loaded Lincoln. There needs to be a distinction between the brands. The service departments operate at no where near the quality level for a "luxury" brand. If I go online and request to schedule an appointment, someone should call. If the sales representative tells me that he is going to schedule an appointment, someone should call. If I drive to the service center for a recall, I shouldn't be sent away telling me to come back months later because they don't have the parts yet."
