"We traded in a 2009 Journey SXT for a 2016 Journey SXT this Spring because we liked the size, family usability, and fuel mileage. We picked up the 2016 Journey from the dealership in Florida and drove to our summer home in Michigan the next day. The first thing we noticed is the seats were more plush in the 2016, and the ride was more like our Cadillac whereas the 2009 Journey rode and handled more like our former BMW. The BMW ride and handling was fun when we were younger but my wife and I are now in our middle 60's and travel several thousand miles each year and appreciate the softer quieter ride, plus the steering is not as tight as the 2009 which makes driving with one hand much more comfortable on trips. After three weeks in Michigan, we drove back to Florida on business and took the 2016 Journey in for service because it idled a little rough. The dealership serviced it and said they put in a new security chip. I don't know what they did but the get up and go is almost as good as our BMW was. But the real bonus is we now average 24.9 MPG in town and 30+ MPG on the highway! I have a camera phone picture driving 78 MPH on I-65 in hilly Kentucky showing 31.7 MPG average! The brakes are bigger on the 2016 and very, very smooth, even when towing our pop-up camper. We highly recommend the Dodge Journey."

Car Brakes: How Do You Know When to Change Them?

By Zach Bowman For those who suffer a daily commute through heavy traffic, your vehicle's braking system can bring thousands of pounds of metal, plastic and empty Starbucks cups to a stop hundreds of times before you get to work. It goes without saying that these pieces wear out, but they do so slowly, meaning you may not notice they need attention until ...
