  • "Overall, I like the Quest, but I would recommend that Nissan add optional safety features, some of which are available in other Nissan Models: Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Avoidance System, Lane Departure Warning, Running Lights. The cargo space is less than the 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan we traded in. Also, the step (actually two steps) into the second row is relatively high and difficult for elderly people to enter. The CD/DVD player is near the floor in the Platinum Model - hard to insert CDs.No compass in the mirror in Platinum with Navigation. I miss that feature; we have that in our 2007 Altima, and it is apparently available in Quest models without nav. (A tiny compass is in nav screen, but only when nav/map is turned on.)Oil dipstick is hidden, nearly impossible to re-insert without a flashlight.I like the feel of the gear shift knob (one of the reasons I picked the Nissan over the new Chrysler Pacifica), but the gear shift is easy to accidentally move all the way to "Lo" when shifting out of park. Also, the knob hides some radio controls. There is no load line indication in the rear hatch area, so you dont know exactly how large cargo can be placed in that area (the 2006 Grand Caravan had this). The front door is very large compared to the actual opening, resulting in the bottom edge of the door occasionally striking the drivers/passengers leg when exiting.Fuel efficiency is adequate so far. overall average about 22mpg. Highway mileage at interstate speed is 23mpg, not the rated 27mpg advertised."

It goes without saying that these pieces wear out, but they do so slowly, meaning you may not notice they need attention until ...
