  • "I love my Optima. It is perfect for someone that needs to maneuver in and out of traffic frequently. The ease of switching from standard mode to sports mode is awesome. There is also an option for Eco mode, but I have not used that. I get well over 300 miles per tank of gas in the city traffic (usually 3330 - 350) and on road trips I can get almost 450 miles per tank. The quick pick up is awesome for getting out on a busy road. There are two things I think are a draw back - one being the drivers seat vs. car seat. I had someone traveling with me that needed to put a baby car seat in the back seat, and there is plenty of space; however, when you put the car in park and turn off the engine, the seat automatically slides back. My seat did not stop for the car seat, it pushed against the car seat until I thought it would break. If the baby was older and his legs went over the edge of the car seat it could have been much worse. I'm glad that I do not have this permanent issue. Something to consider if you have a baby. The other issue is that the car doors automatically unlock when the car is out in park. Personally I consider this a big safety issue. I live in a very metropolitan area and it is unsafe at times to unlock your doors. For example, being at a drive up ATM bank machine. I need to place the car in park in order to safely complete my transaction and obviously a "sitting duck" for someone to rob me.All-in-all I love this car but there is some room for improvement. Consider these things before purchasing. If you can deal with those issues I think you will love this car!"

Car Brakes: How Do You Know When to Change Them?

By Zach Bowman For those who suffer a daily commute through heavy traffic, your vehicle's braking system can bring thousands of pounds of metal, plastic and empty Starbucks cups to a stop hundreds of times before you get to work.
