"This is Acura #7 since 1993.Two of them have gone 11 and 13 years. Our Acura RL 2006 is at 134,000 and still seems new. It is still bigger and heavier than the TLX, and in some ways I like it better. Your biggest mistake is that you got confused in your management of the current RL. Front wheel drive is not enough in the northern part of USA when AWD is so much better in the snow and ice. The RLS is simply too expensive, too technical, and unproven. Getting to the question, I think that the TLS is excellent. Visibility forward and to the sides for the driver is generally better than in previous vehicles. The top of the windshield needs more coating down about 4-5 inches from the headliner; the glare is significant and I find myself using the pull-down visor all too often. The car is very fast, can be driven aggressively with confidence that the vehicle will do it. The transmission is typical Acura and is very helpful in a myriad of conditions. I have full confidence in managing it from paddles. I find that the car is a little slow in start up unless it is pushed or operated manually. The car is magnificently quiet, and that is appreciated greatly because of my wife's life-long hearing problem, to say nothing of the fact that classical music can be heard easily now over road noise. The coach work is superior and the seats extremely comfortable. There could be 3-4 inches more leg room in the back seat, and that might provide more cargo space by making the vehicle longer. The trunk absolutely needs another light to view the front of the cargo space, and I would suggest that you design an aftermarket light that could be added currently. I am using a flashlight!. If the carpet were stippled in grey and black rather than pure black, that would help. The back of the car is always dirty due to collection of dust secondary to the air-flow patterns over the trunk. This is a great car and these comments are for the most part observations. We do need post market changes to the light in the trunk."
