  • "I'm sure I have the common early-2000s Toyota Corolla review. Pros: It's a reliable, inexpensive, and relatively fuel-efficient car. I can be an "assertive" driver at times, and I've never had concerns about its performance, whether zipping in-and-out of traffic among Washington D.C.'s slow and distracted drivers OR accelerating up to interstate passing-lane speeds in order to pass cars and change lanes quickly for a nearly-missed freeway exit.Cons: The car has required multiple recalls for major safety issues (including airbag). The car has had a lot of problems with sloppy constructione.g., electric/fuse problems with the dealer stereo system, cruise control, and sun roof. Also, -the muffler pipe broke in half after hitting a high speed bump (at very low speed), and-something's loose and clanking in the underbody somewhere.-last, the driver seat is uncomfortable and the steering wheel does not adjust very much, so I have to slide the driver seat so close my knees are almost touching the ignition panel in order for my arms to comfortably reach the steering wheel (I've never had this problem on any other car, so I know I don't have freakishly short arms)."
