  • "Pros: fuel mileage 40+mpg, SE model nicely equipped, front seats are comfortable, gauges are easy to see and interior lighting at works well. Plenty of cup holders storage options for a small car. I'm 6' 3" 240 lbs and find the interior driver location to be comfortable. Interior and exterior of car is appealing to me for a sedan. Heat and AC work well. Key fobs work great especially to open trunk. Tilt wheel, turn signals, and dual mirrors blind spots integrated into mirrors. Cruise control and auto shift is fun to use on occasion. Cons: Exterior wind and rain noise overwhelms cabin; makes listening to music or having conversation via Bluetooth difficult. I like the radio and technology features overall but the speakers seem to have excessive vibration, Narrow wheel base causes instability on windy days and during winter driving must constantly manage the steering to maintain lane position. Front wheels throw a lot of road spray and dirt up and along the side of the car even gets into door jam area. I plan to add front mud guards. No rear seat room for average to tall adults. Rear seats do not fold flat very well and the opening to trunk through seat is not very flat. Example: cannot carry two sets of golf clubs in trunk vertical or horizontal; easier for me to set clubs across back seat. Center location for door locks annoying at times. Paint quality seems soft front, hood, roof, lower sides have excessive chips through to primer/metal."

"This car was everything I expected it to be and more. I am the type of person that researches everything before I make a purchase. When shopping for my first ever brand new vehicle, I researched and compared everything, right down to interior comfort. I wanted something that, not only I could afford, but would be safe for me and my son. I got all of that and more with my 2014 Ford Fiesta Titanium. This vehicle is perfect for small families, boasting safety features like several airbags, handsfree bluetooth for phones so that you can keep your focus where it should be, and many amenities such as the amazing sound system and heated seats during the cooler months. The trunk is plenty spacious for a nice trip, as well. I was surprised at how much I could fit into this car when I had to move. Fun to drive and comfortable for long road trips, as well. I would highly recommend this vehicle to anyone looking for the top car in this price range and size."

  • "The Fiesta SE Hatchback has excellent handling and better than expected gas mileage (routinely, achieving 40 miles per gallon on long "road trips"). The three areas of concern for the five speed manual hatchback are wind noise, small back seat leg room and the opportunity to down-shift into reverse. This last item makes it difficult to recommend a manual transmission Ford vehicle to anyone. Changing the reverse gear to a "push down" type (like the Chevy Cruze) would eliminate the opportunity of accidentally "grinding" the gears during down-shifting. As a result of this transmission safety concern, we will be trading the vehicle in for another manual transmission vehicle when a suitable replacement is found. The Chevy Cruze is not the answer, as we were never able to achieve even 30 miles per gallon with a previously owned six speed manual and found that Cruze felt "very heavy" when driving on long trips."

Car Brakes: How Do You Know When to Change Them?

By Zach Bowman For those who suffer a daily commute through heavy traffic, your vehicle's braking system can bring thousands of pounds of metal, plastic and empty Starbucks cups to a stop hundreds of times before you get to work. It goes without saying that these pieces wear out, but they do so slowly, meaning you may not notice they need attention until ...
