Question: Why is coolant pooling around radiator cap?

My 05 trailblazer has had some issues through the years and we have fixed problem after problem. Money has been very tight the past few years and my check engine lights been on (oxygen sensor was the main code), gas guage doesn't work, and the oil light or guage light comes on and the oil guage would go up and down when stopped then the light wiuld flash. Obviously didn't have the money to fix it but she still ran very well. Never stalled, overheated or hard to start. Well I had to move my car kind of sideways i our driveway which is a small hill and I noticed the front driver tire was completely flat. We had to get the truck in the driveway so I tried to back the trailblazer up very slowly and gently just enough to pull the truck in. It backed up (it was muddy) but all of a sudden died. She hasn't started since. Checked under the hood and green coolant is pooled around the radiator cap. I know the oil pressure is no good or at least the sensor. The hose in the back of the engine is flat (sorry don't know what everything is called) and I read that means there is no or little oil pressure. Considering my car doesn't overheat and was not driven much in the past year I can't understand what is going on. Oh and after I got an oil change about 6 months ago, the windshield wiper fluid reservoir is totally cracked. It just pours out the bottom as i pour it in but there's still some in it i can use. Put a little gas in though i know it has at least half a tank (or supposed to), tries to start and lights aren't dimmed or anything (doesn't sound like a dead battery), no fluid on the ground under the car besides when i put wiper fluid in so I'm thrown off. Oh yea and tried to put it in neutral but it just slid straight through all gears. Can anybody help me figure out what might be the problem? Or at least point me in the right direction? I love this car and hate the thought of her being dead!

Car Brakes: How Do You Know When to Change Them?

By Zach Bowman For those who suffer a daily commute through heavy traffic, your vehicle's braking system can bring thousands of pounds of metal, plastic and empty Starbucks cups to a stop hundreds of times before you get to work. It goes without saying that these pieces wear out, but they do so slowly, meaning you may not notice they need attention until ...
