Question: What causes my 88 thunderbird to die all of the sudden

no start some times

check for wobble in distrbutor. could be due top bushing being wore out.

if thats not the cause i had one that the catalytic converter was clogged and it caused the engine to not start and if it did start caused it to die shortly after starting so you may be able to fix it by removing / replacing the converter
