Question: RPM at high speed

What RPM should the Subaru Baja turbo run at 70 mph? Mine runs at 3,000 which seems high and I worry about poor mileage. I had a transmission solenoid failure a few months ago - could the repair have been done incorrectly?

dont forget, your going 70 mph so realistically 3000 rpm isn't very much at that speed,is it?
the car would be calibrated to rev lower at the more common speed limit of 55 mph to conserve gas at this speed.---what rpm does it run at 55 mph?---if its at 1500 to 1800,then your more or less stuck unless you can get your eprom custom flashed to a totally new rpm target and a different common speed of 70 mph.

whats the redline of a baja turbo?if you could get an aftermarket overdrive unit, this would be an impractical and expensive solution but maybe the only solution
