Question: parts info 2000 pontiac sunfire

2000 pontiac sunfire se 2.2

Need to replace lower control arms and inner drivers side tie rod. I know absolutely nothing about cars or parts buying, I have been looking on a few sites eg; rockauto.com and calling parts stores around my area for cheaper priced parts cause the estimate I got was for $1400!! this included a few minor things that needed serving but certainly not $1400 worth. I have gotten the run around about specific parts to my car saying that it matters if my car is a gt, se, coupe, sedan... specific year... that I need to look for a certain vin on my car that has 2 different letters identifying the parts for it. (Sigh!) And yet when I search online all the parts I come across say they are compatible for all pontiac sunfire and chevy cavaliers from years 1995-2005.

I just want to fix my car! and it seems that if I buy the parts at say rockauto.com, im only paying $210 for both inner and outter tie rods both L/R , both lower control arms, everything for the brakes and bearings I will soon need to be replacing along with a few other small parts and thats with delivery included, to my door for $210.

There are garages here that are willing to do the work if I get the parts myself, awesome saves me ALOT of money as most have said $500-700 just for half the parts needed, but wont give me part numbers list unless I bring my car in to again have the problem inspected and diagnosed which could cost another $100-200, that again I cannot afford... again.

To the point I guess.

I need to know if the parts like lower control arms and inner and outer tie rods will really all fit on both cavalier and sunfires for 95-05 years and for those parts specifically do I need to order anything else with them for installation EG; bushings? whatever those are, certain bolts?, spacers?, sealed? grease fittings??? I think it said?

I dont know what I need and I cant pay $1000+
Im disabled and lack the knowledge to know what I need to know. Is there even anything you can tell me? I know this is maybe not the most straightforward question you may have gotten

also I found another deal for about $60-ish on ebay that is...

8 PCS SUSPENSION SET CHEVY CAVALIER PONTIAC SUNFIRE 95-05 BALL JOINTS TIE RODS

This is a set of 8 PCS:

2 Lower Front Ball Joints 2-K6527

2 Inner Tie Rods 2-EV116

2 Outer Tie Rods 2-ES3374

2 Front Stabilizer Links 2-K6600

I know that means very little without manufacturer name with the part numbers and such im sure, but again will I need anything with this stuff like ball-joints? Please help.

Car Brakes: How Do You Know When to Change Them?

By Zach Bowman For those who suffer a daily commute through heavy traffic, your vehicle's braking system can bring thousands of pounds of metal, plastic and empty Starbucks cups to a stop hundreds of times before you get to work. It goes without saying that these pieces wear out, but they do so slowly, meaning you may not notice they need attention until ...
