Question: Overheating...

I have read a bunch of information on my car overheating but I am still unsure of what the problem with mine may be. I work about 75 miles away from my home, and have had problems with my car wanting to overheat in the past. It started during last summer, and then I didn't really seem to have a problem with it during most of the winter time. I recently had to replace the blower motor, and even though there was snow everywhere and it was freezing, my car still wanted to overheat. It starts overheating when idle or sitting in traffic, and as soon as i start to move the temp gauge drops back to normal. I have already replaced the radiator cap then the whole radiator, the water pump, the timing belt (and other belts), and the thermostat most recently. Usually it would only overheat in the afternoon when it was extremely hot, now it is wanting to overheat even in the morning. We replaced the thermostat this weekend, and drained and replaced the coolant (tried to bleed the system to make sure there was no air, but maybe that did not work and I need to try it again?) The fan kicks on and works most of the time when it starts to overheat but not always (maybe the switch could be at fault?) Since replacing the thermostat a few days ago, I have noticed that my car warms up better than it used to, but this morning when running the heater, the temp of the air kept going cold a few different times and then back to warm again. I keep up on the coolant levels regularly (as well as my oil) and have done many tests to make sure there are no leaks. I really need help with this and your advice is greatly appreciated.

Car Brakes: How Do You Know When to Change Them?

By Zach Bowman For those who suffer a daily commute through heavy traffic, your vehicle's braking system can bring thousands of pounds of metal, plastic and empty Starbucks cups to a stop hundreds of times before you get to work. It goes without saying that these pieces wear out, but they do so slowly, meaning you may not notice they need attention until ...
