Question: not starting after headgascet change
ive got a volvo v40 2002. changed the head gascet. now its not starting. ive got the timing marks as shown to me with both cams marks allighning the marks on the topcover and the low gear at bottom of motor allighned as shown too. been told to check at back of cams for the off-centre slot and to allighn it so one cam is above the centre and the other below the centre . so there i am, 1 above the centre and other below the centre and pulleys on their marks, but no starting, it sounds as if it wants to start so there is fuel and fire. and also while working on the motor i slammed the spanner against the little plastic thing at the back of the inlet cam, breaking off one of the small pins on the thing. its got two big pins and two small pins with a censor (dont know what it is and what its for.) pleesa help
