Question: My 91 ply. sundance will not start, it turns over, just never starts

It wasnt running when i bought it. The guy I bought it from said he thought it was the fuel pump. But when I ran a hot wire from the battery to the coil the fuel pump engaged. So i dont know if its wiring??? maybe its the computer??? I dont know where to go from here...

There is a relay called the Auto Shutdown Relay that powers the fuel pump, coil, and injectors. This is most likely bad since you got the fuel pump to turn on by hitting the coil with 12v power.

This is a normal occurence because of the factory wiring scheme. In essence,you are back-feeding power to the fuel pump by manually applying voltage at the coil. I would guess that the asd relay is ok. Make sure that you have
fuel pressure...AND...make sure that you have spark "AT THE PLUGS"!!
