Question: mileage drops after service

Every time when I do a service to my 2006 Toyota Prius car I notice that car performance losing mileage, like 5 miles per gallon, for the first 2000 miles after service, after that the mileage is improving again. After the last service, it was on 30000 miles, the mileage dropped again and it is not improving even after 2000 miles. Also, I notice that the battery is not charging fast (not coming to a full charge - green color on energy used screen). It takes more than 30 minutes to drive before the battery is charging to a green color. It wasn't like this before the 30000 service. When car is standing on a parking for 30 minutes, and power is off, the battery is discharging up to the second line from the bottom.
Is any body else experience similar problems and if any body know why I have all these problems related to a car service?

I haven't noticed anything like this on my car. However, I have noticed a 25% drop in fuel economy when the weather gets real cold!

Anyone experience the same thing?

I do not take my car (206 Prius) in for the routine service and have never had a drop in milege. The old addage that you should not fix that which is not broken seems to apply. I have a Tundra that gave me dproblems afrter a service - If you keep the oil changed, fluid correct and changed, you don't need to mess with all the settings as long as it is running good. Saves lots of money too.

Car Brakes: How Do You Know When to Change Them?

By Zach Bowman For those who suffer a daily commute through heavy traffic, your vehicle's braking system can bring thousands of pounds of metal, plastic and empty Starbucks cups to a stop hundreds of times before you get to work. It goes without saying that these pieces wear out, but they do so slowly, meaning you may not notice they need attention until ...
