Question: I need help figuring out why I can't get my car going

My car just had the engine replaced. The pistons and everything are fine and it has compression. The engine still works.

I've had the spark plugs replaced, the battery was tested, the computer was looked at and it's all fine. Even the timing was checked and it is correct and there is nothing lose under the valve cover.

There is no faulty code thrown when checked either.

The engine had a lot of blow by and a ticking in the center of it. The exhaust smokes really bad and up in the manifold.

My mechanic got it to start last night after a try of two and I took it home and now i can't get it to start.

I tried this morning and when trying I heard a sudden bang and now it makes a rapid clicking noise.

I try to turn the key to start it now and when clicking/ticking rapidly my lights flicker and my gauges and such on my dash go all the way up and then back down. Also my engine light come on and flickered and where it shows me my gas milage and trip it flashed the word fuse at me.

My mechanic wants to look at my lifters and check certain sensors in my engine.

The sensors he wants to look at include:
[  ] Camshaft position sensor
[  ] Camshaft sensor
[  ] Crankshaft sensor
[  ] Crankshaft position sensor
[  ] MAP sensor
[  ] MAF sensor
[  ] Throttle position sensor

I also want him to recheck my battery, alternator, starter, and head on my engine.

I need some advice to see if anyone else has any ideas as to what might be going on with my car. It's a 2003 dodge neon r/t that has a 2.0 16 valve engine and is a 5 speed manual.

If someone can email me or message me if they believe they no what's wrong it would be appreciated cause as it stands I have no vehicle and I work 6 days a week with a son in school.

If you contact me by phone it is easier to message me than call cause I work 12 hr shifts 6 days a week.

Car Brakes: How Do You Know When to Change Them?

By Zach Bowman For those who suffer a daily commute through heavy traffic, your vehicle's braking system can bring thousands of pounds of metal, plastic and empty Starbucks cups to a stop hundreds of times before you get to work. It goes without saying that these pieces wear out, but they do so slowly, meaning you may not notice they need attention until ...
