Question: how do I recharge the A/C compressor in a 2002 XL-7

the compressor doesn't seem to be easy to find and the chilton/Haynes repair manuals are less than plentiful in my area... any information/diagrams would help

The low pressure port is in the front of the condenser ( which is located in front of the radiator ). to get to the low pressure port, you have to remove the grill, or at least the top 4 body clips on top of the grill ( you can reach the port, but it is tight ) . Charging the a/c is then done with R-134a. Before you recharge the A/C, you might want to get some U/V dye and find out if you have any leaks. There are kits available at most major auto parts stores. Good luck
