Question: how do i fix the locks on my 2001 landcruiser

the lock button inside my 2001 toyota landcrusier wont lock or unlock my doors. Locks wont engage when I put the truck in drive. However they will unlock and lock with my remote. Please help...... Also how do I remove the interior door panel. Thanks in advance. Vee
