Question: Car ran hot from cracked thermostat housing now won’t crank at all?
Recently my thermostat housing cracked and leaked all my coolant out and my car started to run hot while driving and I quickly pulled over. I heard a clicking noise right before this happened. After letting my car cool down and filling it with more coolant it will not start at all. I know it is not a seized engine because when I took the oil cap off the shaft(??) was turning as well as the timing belt when trying to crank it. So it it neither of those. I had no symptoms of anything wrong with my car before this happened. There is no clicking noise when trying to start the engine, only the sound of the belt and inside engine things turning.
