Question: bump-bump, muffled sound

every time I hit a rough spot, I get a muffled bump sound, from whichever side I hit a rough spot. I have installed new strut mounts, and the shocks passed the tests, also have 2 new cv axles installed, can this be the ball joints? that's about all that is left unchanged,
