Question: '95 Suburban - Replacing turn indicator/wiper/cruise controller - how do I get to it?

I am replacing my turn indicator/wiper controller/cruise controller and have the bottom half of the steering column shroud off but I cannot remove the top half. The ignition (key collar) is in the way. How do I get past it?
