Question: 88 s10 charging problems
I have a 88 s10 2.8 ltr 4x4 that is having charging issues. Directly after startup, with vehicle cold, alt charges fine. After vehicle warms up, voltage drops, and alt stops charging. Turn vehicle off, start back up, voltage is fine again. If vehicle is continued to be driven with lower voltage for 10-15 min I can turn on a/c and volts come back up and alt charges again. Here is list of new parts, not all parts are pertaining to this problem but want to be thorough. Battery, alternator(twice), coolant temp sensor, ECM, throttle position sensor, idle air control, fuel pump, fuel pressure reg, wiper motor, blower motor, a/c compressor, MAP sensor, rotor, cap, plugs, wires, and every vacuum line. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
