Question: Timing belt replacement
This car should have had the timing belt replaced at 60K. I am now getting ready to have this done at 78k. Dealer has quoted $650 for the job. A local repair shop says $1225 because they say I should also replace the water pump at the same time. Do you agree? The maintenance schedule on this car does not say anything about replacing the water pump.
